Instructor – Emeritus Program, Cuesta College 8/2016 - Present
Currently, I teach Reminiscing to Senior Citizens. These classes stimulate fond experiences/memories of historic American nostalgia as well as provide opportunities for reflection, esteem building and creating a sense of belonging for students.

Speaker/Presenter – Self-Employed 1996 - 2014
I delivered keynotes, assemblies and workshops on topics such as cultural sensitivity, disability awareness, psychological rehabilitation, teaching to diverse populations, family communication, mindfulness and customer service. Ten of thousands have heard the talks in California, Alaska and Hawaii over the last 30+ years.

Lab Assistant – Hilo Community College 2008 – 2009
Delivered voice recognition and other software lessons to trigger academic performance and a sense of accomplishment for students with various disabilities. Teamed with Director to write and present conference presentation for use of speech-to-text in transcribing lectures.

Adaptive Tech. Specialist – Hancock College 1998 - 1999
Facilitated community college students learning speech recognition and other adaptive software programs. Working under the Director of Disability Student Services, integrated software practice lessons with student course-work while teaching computer skills, Internet usage and desktop publishing processes.

Graduating with a specialization in counseling and guidance from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo, courses focused on Special Education, Sociology, Educational Psychology, learning styles, group communication and leadership. Mini-Thesis: Self-Esteem.
